Banana in Glass Vase

Oil painting of a banana in a tulip-shaped glass vase.
According to Wikipedia, banana plants are a source of fibre for high-quality textiles, not to mention the dietary fibre commonly associated with the fruit.  This picture documents my misguided attempt, based on the aforementioned information, to produce fibreglass.

Oil on canvas board, 4" x 6"
