Three Chain Road, Carlsruhe

Landscape oil painting of a bitumen road leading off to the horizon bounded by telephone poles and vegetation.
Karl's rule: nothing to lose but chains.

The Three Sisters, Baynton

Landscape oil painting of eucalypts and cows with distant hills.
Observant readers may notice that only two sisters are visible (the third is obscured by the large gum tree).  The hill on the far right is only a distant relation.

Onion with Glass Mug

Still life oil painting of a brown onion beside a glass mug.
Onions are brown, mugs unresolved; for reflections and backgrounds are always involved.

Apple with Coffee Percolator

Still life oil painting of a red apple beside a coffee percolator.
A lesser-known treat: the coffee apple.

Teacup with Saucer

Oil painting of a Queen Anne teacup and saucer with a yellow rose pattern.
I should perhaps drink more tea this festive season; best to stay off the saucer.

Cobaw Ranges from Pipers Creek

As the centrepiece of the painting, this is a Cobaw arrangement.

Tomato with Small Glass Jar

Still life oil painting of a red tomato beside a small glass jar.
Nightshade and nightjar (sorry, this caption is a load of crepusculum).

Exhibition: Nature Rendered Permanent

Exhibition invitation including exhibition details and depicting flowers, a pear and other assorted fruits and vegetables.

My friends -- Fiona O'Byrne and Lana Daubermann -- and I are exhibiting some paintings in a shiny gallery in Kew, which should be slightly whiter than my normal shearing shed venue and with less sheep poo, hopefully.

Even if you don't like my paintings, you'll like theirs (I'm the José Carreras of the group).  We'd love to see you for some gazing, grazing and guzzling on Saturday 23 November 6:30 - 8:30pm at Ladder Art Space, 81 Denmark St, Kew.
