A zucchini squashed into a vase.
Oil on canvas board, 4" x 6"
Daily painting exercises in tonal realism since February 2013; adorned with terrible puns since 2014.

Fountain at Rosebery Hill, Pipers Creek
Perhaps it would have been easier to render this scene with a fountain pen.

Apple with Sauce Jug
It seems I've inadvertently returned to the same subject: http://www.paintingaday.net/2016/05/apple-with-sauce-jug.html; it's a matter of comparing apples with apples and primary with secondary sauces.

Tomato
According to Wikipedia, tomatoes are botanically berry-type fruits. Personally I prefer to eat them rather than bury them.

Porcelain Jug with Garlic Bulb
According to Wikipedia, the internal jugular vein includes a superior and an inferior bulb. The title of this painting may bear some resemblance to a jugular bulb in name, but there the similarity ends (though having never seen a jugular bulb, I'm happy to be corrected).

Housing Commission Flats and Freeway Sculpture from Royal Park
Initially I planned just to paint the freeway sculpture (the red angled pillars in the middle ground), but I later thought the housing commission flats made a nice backdrop. You might say it was com-mission creep.

Pear with Light Bulb
The glass bulb and the piece of fruit were privately hostile, but in public they were all sweetness and light.

Only part of this building could fit in this painting: it's a relatively broad church.

Egg on Small Chinese Teapot
This teapot can be difficult to paint, so occasionally I need a bit of egging on.

And neither will help one to see well at night.
