Fountain at Rosebery Hill, Pipers Creek

Oil painting of a fountain representing a putto holding a fish with other putti at the base.
Perhaps it would have been easier to render this scene with a fountain pen.

Apple with Sauce Jug

Oil painting of a blue porcelain sauce jug beside a red and green apple.
It seems I've inadvertently returned to the same subject: http://www.paintingaday.net/2016/05/apple-with-sauce-jug.html; it's a matter of comparing apples with apples and primary with secondary sauces.

Small Vase

Oil painting of a small blue and white Chinese-style vase with gold decoration in front of an orange background.
Vases are white, vases are blue;
More original verse is long overdue.

Tomato

Oil painting of a tomato in front of a green background.
According to Wikipedia, tomatoes are botanically berry-type fruits.  Personally I prefer to eat them rather than bury them.

Onion on Silver-Plated Jug

Oil painting of a brown onion on top of a small silver-plated jug.
Many a jug has spouted forth from my brush, and this onion has a certain ring to it.

Porcelain Jug with Garlic Bulb

Oil painting of a blue and white porcelain jug beside a bulb of garlic.
According to Wikipedia, the internal jugular vein includes a superior and an inferior bulb.  The title of this painting may bear some resemblance to a jugular bulb in name, but there the similarity ends (though having never seen a jugular bulb, I'm happy to be corrected).

Zucchini on Linen-Bound Book

Oil painting of a green zucchini on a green linen-bound book.
A zucchini for the books, rather than a turnip for the books.

Housing Commission Flats and Freeway Sculpture from Royal Park

Oil painting of distant high-rise flats with red angled pillars in the middle ground and trees and buildings in the foreground.
Initially I planned just to paint the freeway sculpture (the red angled pillars in the middle ground), but I later thought the housing commission flats made a nice backdrop.  You might say it was com-mission creep.

Pear with Light Bulb

Oil painting of a green pear beside a spherical light bulb.
The glass bulb and the piece of fruit were privately hostile, but in public they were all sweetness and light.

Rear of Former Presbyterian Church, Parkville

Oil painting of two small Gothic-style windows at the rear of a larger red brick church.
Only part of this building could fit in this painting: it's a relatively broad church.

Egg on Small Chinese Teapot

Oil painting of an egg resting on top of a small vertically-elongated teapot.
This teapot can be difficult to paint, so occasionally I need a bit of egging on.

Carrot with Porcelain Vase

Oil painting of a carrot resting against a white porcelain vase.
Orange are carrots, vases are white;
And neither will help one to see well at night.
