Banana and Bowl

A bowl that had recently contained my breakfast muesli, a banana, and what looks like a flattened egg yolk.  I swear that this is proof of a paranormal event, as the egg yolk has only appeared in the reproduction (the yellow is very subtle in the actual painting).

Onion and Chillies

Onion and chillies: the basis for any good meal, or bad meal for that matter, especially if I'm cooking.

Pipers Creek: Mount St Mary from Rosebery Hill

Oil painting of Mount St. Mary in Pipers Creek, with a dam in the foreground, and willows and eucalypts in the middle ground.
This represents the best part of painting: getting outside in the autumn sunlight in the countryside, whilst sustaining mild sunburn and minor hypothermia.

Art Deco Office Chair

My desk chair painted in a slight panic, as I only had three quarters of an hour to paint before leaving to catch a train.  It features an arm rest, though my arm definitely wasn't at rest during the execution of the work.

Mushroom and Brown Bottle

This mushroom made a very nice addition to my stew.  I tried slow-cooking the bottle, but it was still tough, even after 8 hours.

Phenyle Bottle with Apple

An old Phenyle bottle and a very shiny (appropriately it seems, if you know your Greek, which I don't) Fuji apple.  The Phenyle bottle is an odd shape, and it doesn't look quite right in the picture.  It Phenyley does though.

If you can't cut the mustard, at least you can try painting it.

Yellow Flowers with Green Bottle

One day I'm going to realise that the flowers are supposed to go in the bottle and not beside it.

Plaster Skull with Carrot

Fact 1: 95% of all people who have died have eaten carrots.  Fact 2: 92.3% of statistics are made up on the spot.

Ginger Beer Bottle and Banana

An old ginger beer bottle and a banana, brought together--possibly for the first time and for no apparent reason--in a painting.

Onion and Silver-Plated Vase

Because who doesn't place an onion next to a vase?  It's a very popular pastime where I come from.
