Silver-Plated Jug with Banana

Oil painting of a small silver-plated jug beside a banana.
Silver are jugs, bananas are gold;
Though bananas don't glisten, they're of worth manifold.

Daffodil in Miniature Vase

Oil painting of a yellow and orange daffodil in a miniature blue and white porcelain vase.
There once was a gold daffodil,
In a vase, not in vale nor on hill--
And it never was spied
By a poet lakeside,
Nor did dance, but remained very still.

Lemon with Petite Liqueur Bottle

Oil painting of a lemon beside a green onion-shaped bottle with a cork (a Moët & Chandon Petite Liqueur Bottle).
There once was a lemon and bottle,
And each tried to quote Aristotle;
But neither could speak
The antique form of Greek,
Nor had requisite skills polyglottal.

Daffodils in Carafe

Oil painting of a bunch of daffodils in a 1 litre glass carafe.
Modern readers may be confused upon reading of Wordsworth as a metaphorical cloud coming upon a host--I mean, everything's hosted in the cloud these days, isn't it?

Cow Sculptures at Heide Museum of Modern Art

Oil painting of two multi-coloured cow-shaped sculptures in front of a forest of eucalypts and a flowering wattle.
It's much easier to paint stationary cows than their animated counterparts.  Now, if only I could think of a pun involving bovines that don't move.
