Nectarine with Small Bottle

Oil painting of a small, long-necked glass bottle beside a nectarine.
According to Wikipedia, nectarines are sometimes referred to as a "fuzzless peach", so I asked this nectarine which appellation it preferred.  It replied, "whichever, I'm not fuzzy."

River Red Gums, Royal Park

Oil painting of two eucalypts separated by a path.
The smaller tree in this painting may well be the offspring of the larger, and therefore quite possibly a son of a gum.

Bishopscourt, East Melbourne

Oil painting of a Victorian-era portico with nearby trees, flowers and shrubs.
This was painted towards the rear of the building, which in cricket circles is known as court behind.

Jaguers Lane, Parkville

Oil painting of a street scene with telephone poles, a hedge and buildings.
Although I've painted Jaguers Lane on numerous occasions, I'm still serving my apprenticeship: it will take some time and much effort for me to become a Jaguer-meister.

Sauce Jug with Red Onion

Oil painting of a blue porcelain sauce jug beside a red onion.
It's so hard to keep coming up with onion puns (especially red ones): bloody Allium.

Lemon in Glass Jar

Oil painting of a lemon in a glass jar--laid on its side--with a gold-coloured lid.
I composed a somewhat juicy caption for this picture, but I've decided to keep a lid on it.

Former Presbyterian Church Hall, Parkville

Oil painting of the doorway to a Victorian-era brick ecclesiastical building.
This building of modest length is, from my flat, only a short haul.
